Course
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) course is a medicinal bachelors program offered by Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Mysore. The program combines traditional Ayurveda with modern medicine and gives extensive practical training in both fields. A BAMS graduate would be a fully competent physician and surgeon. Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) Bangalore. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science syllabus includes practical training and classroom training in Ayurvedic Philosophy, Ayurvedic History, Anatomy, Physiology, Toxicology, General Surgery & Para Surgical Techniques, Panchkarma, one-year internship. The course completed Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital graduates can practice as Ayurvedacharya, Ayurvedic Doctor, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Public Health Specialist, Lecturer, Researcher in various ayurvedic hospitals, clinics, health resorts, medical colleges and universities.
Duration: 5 and half Years
Eligibility: Candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination from a recognized board
