Course:
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Dialysis Technology is an undergraduate programme offered by Government Medical College Kottayam. B.Sc Dialysis Technology is a three-year degree course. The applicantshould have passed plus two with biology, physics, chemistry as subjects. The course train students to support doctors and nurses in providing quality care to renal patients.Government Medical College Kottayam is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science (KUHS). They are trained in setting up, sterilizing, operating, monitoring and adequately maintaining the dialysis machine. They should guide, support and carefully monitor the patients waiting for a kidney transplant. Apart from technical subjects, they are taught human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology and kidney diseases. Completed students can pursue their career in super speciality hospitals, clinics and other health care institutes which provide dialysis and other renal treatments. They can also follow their calling in dialysis equipment manufacturing, maintaining or marketing companies

Eligibility:
- Candidates should have cleared their class 12 board examination in the stream of science from a recognised board of education.They must have secured 45%-50% aggregate score in the qualifying examination in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
