Course
B.E. Information Science and Engineering is an Under-Graduation course.Information science focuses on understanding problems from the perspective of the stakeholders involved and then applying information and other technologies as needed. In other words, it tackles systemic problems first rather than individual pieces of technology within that system.It also throws light on how to analyse and interpret the raw data. It is an academic field which is primarily concerned with analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.
The Department of Information Science and Engineering became a part of this esteemed organization in the year 2003 with intake of 60 students. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, India and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka. The course has become popular among students due to the achievements and rigor. The department has well equipped classrooms and computer laboratories with high-end systems supporting Wi-Fi facility.The Department has 13 professionally qualified faculties with required experience and 3 technical staff members, committed to continuously improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of students.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination recognized by the University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, and has secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.
