Course:
Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a Diploma Programme. Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) course offered by GTN College of Nursing Dindigul. Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a two-year diploma course, including six months internship. ANM is the only alternative for students who wish to join a nursing course after completing 12th in a non-science stream. The syllabus covers community health nursing, mental health, child health nursing, midwifery, health centre management and human body & hygiene.The ANM course focuses on professionally training the students on basics of health care like operating medical equipment, setting up of operation theatre, timely medication to patients, maintaining health records etc. Completed students should be able to provide first aid and primary medical care to the needy. The candidates can pursue their jobs in community health centres, dispensaries, nursing homes, private and government hospitals.
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:
- Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course is to be a minimum 10+2 level pass out with a minimum aggregate score of at least 50
