Course
Automobile Engineer must incorporate multiple elements of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software engineering, safety and environmental aspects into his work. It's a quite challenging and interesting course. Automobile industry is the one of the fastest growing industry at the moment in India.
This course will suit students who are interested in design, working and manufacturing of vehicles and their parts. Having skills such as sketching, imagination, creativity as well as problem solving skills will help one take on this course easily and help build a rewarding career in Automobile manufacturing and design sector.
The Automobile Engineering branch started in the year 1987. Since then the department has grown in leaps and bounds. The department presently has well qualified and experienced faculties who can fulfill the aspirations of the students. The department has well equipped laboratories and a department library. Recently the Department has received the VGST fund of Rs. 20 lakhs to develop the bio-fuel extraction plant to cater to the needs of researchers in the region. The Department is involved in consultation work for UG, PG and research scholars on computerized VCR engine. The Department is running a course of LMV driver level 3 training under PMKVY scheme. Another feather in the cap of the Department is agreement by BMWSKILLNEXT scheme to supply BMW engine and transmission system to train and give hands on experience to students. The salient features of the Department are regular workshops, seminars, expert talks, social activities for the students to enhance their technical capabilities and social responsibilities.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
