Course
B.Sc Obstetric Nursing is a three-year program offered by Himalayan University. The program is structured for candidates to appreciate the principles and concepts of nursing. The course helps them to develop an attitude and gain knowledge in rendering nursing care to pregnant women with normal and high risk, during antenatal, natal and postnatal periods in hospital and community settings. It also equips the candidates to develop skills in managing normal and high-risk neonates. After the completion of the program, the student will be able to identify the physiological, anatomical, and psychological changes at the time of pregnancy, render comprehensive care to the mother, develop skills in conducting normal deliveries, identify and deal with complications and abnormalities, and of pregnancy. The student will be able to give guidance and knowledge in health education and family planning.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility
The aspirant should have 10+2 in PCB or equivalent from a recognized board
