Course
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician is a 2-year program offered by Himalayan University. The emergency medical services in the pre-hospital environment are usually coming under a paramedical course. The main areas in paramedical sciences involve the management of burns, evaluation of a general accident, management of burns etc. The curriculum for the course coming under study includes Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Blood banking. MLT is a branch of medical science which deals with conducting laboratory investigations that have an influence on the diagnosis of a disease, hence treatment and prevention. The student should have problem solving and communication skills. After the completion of the course, the students will be able to help the doctors in collecting samples, making slides, centrifuging under proper guidance.
