Course
BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 4 year postgraduate program.Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design and application of equipment, devices and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Electrical engineering is now divided into a wide range of fields, including computer engineering, power engineering, telecommunications, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing, instrumentation, and electronics. Many of these disciplines overlap with other engineering branches, spanning a huge number of specializations including hardware engineering, power electronics, electromagnetics and waves, microwave engineering, nanotechnology, electrochemistry, renewable energies, mechatronics, and electrical materials science. Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B. E degree Course should have passed the two years of P.U.C Examinations ( with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as Optional Subjects) conducted by the Pre - University Board Of Karnataka State or any Other Examination recognized as equivalent by the Visweswaraya Technological University and should have obtained not less than 45% of marks in the optional subjects.
- Candidates seeking admission to Second Year of the Four Year B. E Degree Course must have passed the three year Diploma Course of the Board of Technical Examination of Karnataka Government in the respective Branches / Courses or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visweswaraya Technological University and must have obtained less than 50% marks in the Final Diploma Examinations
- In case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category I/II/III (Karnataka Students Only), the minimum percentage of marks shall not be less than 40% in the optional subjects as per rules.
