Course
B.Sc Catering Science & Hotel Management is a three-year undergraduate degree program in science by Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology Calicut. The course provides training in handling food production and distribution of catered food. The course also equips the students to handle all operations in different departments of the hospitality industry.Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology Calicut is affiliated to University of Calicut Malappuram. University of Calicut curriculum covers subjects including History and Philosophy of science, General informatics, Basic Numerical skills, Entrepreneurship Development, Accommodation operation, Advanced F & B Production Advanced F & B Service, Food Beverage Management, Hotel Report,Research Methodology, Facility Planning, and Event Management, Training and development, Front Office, Nutrition Hygiene and Sanitation, Travel and Tourism, Hotel Sales and Marketing, Hotel Accounting, Human Resource Management,Communicative English, Literature in Malayalam/Hindi/Other Indian/World languages other than English, Project, and Internship. The graduated students can work as catering supervisor, housekeeping manager, front office manager, guest relations executive, accounts manager, HR executive, food & beverages executive, chef,operations manager, restaurant manager. Or they can pursue a master's in hotel management or catering science.
