Course
Master of Technology (M.Tech) Geo-Informatics is a PG course. Master of Technology (M.Tech) Geo-Informatics course offered by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Thiruvananthapuram. It is the synergy of d multiple disciplines, namely, GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, cartography, GPS and geodesy. It is fundamental to all the disciplines, which use data identified by their locations. Geomatics deals with spatial and non-spatial data, their methods of acquisition, management, analysis display, and dissemination. The programme aims to provide conceptual knowledge of GIS, remote sensing data interpretation, digital image processing, digital image processing, digital photogrammetry, digital cartography and GPS.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech./Master of Science or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.50 out of 10 for General/EWS& OBC category and minimum of 55% marks or CGPA 6.00 out of 10 for SC/ST&PD category . A valid score in GATE/JEST/UGC NET/CSIR-NET in relevant area as the case may be, as specified above is essentialWhen CGPA & Equivalent percentage are both in the mark list/certificate, CGPA alone would be considered for eligibility.
