M.ch (Master of Chirurgiae) in pediatric surgery is an advanced postgraduate program done by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) Bengaluru for the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health Bengaluru. Pediatric surgery is an advanced stream of study in medical science that contributes to the surgery of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Medical professionals can pursue this study only after the completion of MS/MD from any recognized university under the Medical Council of India and have got a year of internship from the same stream. Admission to this study is based on the entrance test performed by the colleges often. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) possess a curriculum that contains the topics Applied pediatrics, growth and development, genetics of surgery, pediatric operative surgery, a trauma in children and burns, common pediatric conditions and their treatment, pathology of surgical conditions, neonatal surgery, etiology,and congenital deformations, fetal anatomy and physiology, general pathology and pharmacokinetics After the completion of this program, the doctors can lead job roles in different positions namely pediatric intensivist, pediatrician, senior resident, general physician, and general surgeon, etc.
