Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Dialysis Technology is an UG Programme offered by Indra Ganesan Institute of Medical Science School of Allied Health Tiruchirapalli . B.Sc Dialysis Technology is a three-year undergraduate course. Students should have passed 10+2 in science stream to be eligible for this course.The curriculum provides training to students to be strong paramedical support to doctors in taking care of kidney failure patients. Indra Ganesan Institute of Medical Science School of Allied Health Tiruchirapalli affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University. The course teaches them to set up, sterilize, operate, monitor and maintain dialysis machine and also to provide better care to renal patients. They should check patients vitals, calculate the blood flow, communicate effectively and provide mental support to renal patients. They are also taught human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology and renal diseases apart from it. After the course completion, Indra Ganesan Institute of Medical Science School of Allied Health Tiruchirapalli students can work in hospitals, clinics and other health care institutes offering dialysis treatment. They can also work for medical equipment manufacturing & marketing companies.
Duration: 3 Years + 1 Year Internship
Eligibility:
- A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (10 and plus two) with the following subjects : Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany or Zoology. The candidate should have to complete the age of 17years at the time of admission.
