BA (Honors) Communication Design program
Course
The BA (Honors) Communication Design program with defined sub-fields explore art and design across a wide spectrum of media, Advertising, Animation, Game Art and Design, Game Development, Photography, Graphic Design, User Interaction and User Experience (UI&UX), Visual Effects (VFX). Completion of this degree will create career opportunities in a wide range of art and design fields, interactive media, film, television, graphic design, computer games design, digital media, and web design, publishing industry, education and community arts. Students will develop cross-media digital content underpinned by the study of historical and visual arts, and contemporary art and design practice.
The course has been designed to enhance employability skills within the spectrum of commercial creative arts and media activities. Professional practice is embedded into all learning modules.
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, CISCE, NIOS, AISSCE, ISC or their equivalent. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination for academic year 2019-20 are also encouraged to apply.

Demonstrate a critical understanding of the historical, social and cultural contexts of art and design evidenced by research and practice. Argue, discuss and debate contemporary design issues. Demonstrate proficiency in a range of digital media, software, technologies, applications and processes commonly employed in visual communication and graphic design. The current animation industry is influenced by large multinational studios as well as TV broadcast companies and satellite TV channel companies. They are engaged in activities from content creation, pre-production to distribution, as well as new sources of revenue as intellectual property, licensing & merchandising. . Thus this course will open a wide array of career opportunities for the students.
