B.Com (Healthcare) is an undergraduate program from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University. Health business is a branch of economics concerned with issues related to efficiency, effectiveness, value and behaviour in the production and consumption of health and healthcare. In broad terms, health economists study the functioning of healthcare systems and health-affecting behaviours. Health economists evaluate multiple types of financial information: costs, charges and expenditures. Uncertainty is intrinsic to health, both in patient outcomes and financial concerns. The knowledge gap that exists between a physician and a patient creates a situation of distinct advantage for the physician. Health Economists are in high demand around the globe. Solving pressing problems in low- and middle-income countries requires solid skills. Health Economics Program will be well placed for a range of opportunities in the public and private sectors. The program is the entry into international agencies, academic research institutions and private corporations. The program drives on to conduct international work in health economics, both in low- and middle-income countries and developed nations.
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : 10+2 with Commerce subjects, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
