Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Lifestyle Products and Accessories Design
Designing ‘objects of desire- with lifestyle statements’ (for example, the products out of ‘Handicraft’ and ‘Handloom’) though have been there in the Indian market for a reasonably long time (in fact, significant number of these are seeing good success in the export market), never there have been any ‘structured model’ of teaching this to the prospective and passionate candidates.
Such products range from 3-Dimensional Objects of Art Forms out of mixed material to 2-Dimensional products like Paintings, fabrics out of mixed material etc.
Expeditious globalization has created vivacity and variety in multi-cultural design ideas that require application of critical design thinking in creation and innovation of marketable products.
Duration of Study: 4 Years (8 semesters)
This program will lay the foundation for strategic research in the domain, understanding of design attributes, development and realization of lifestyle products and accessories for various niche markets.
Eligibility- Candidates passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Arts, Science, Commerce or any other relevant stream and should have studied English as a mandatory course

Candidates passed 3 year Diploma with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and should have studied English as a mandatory course. - Candidates must have secured a rank in UCEED conducted by IDC of IIT- Bombay

Possess a valid score in JET Exam conducted by Jain University.
Large number of Companies engaged in making Lifestyle Products, Accessories, will offer such Designers with an array of opportunities including
Design forecast, making of products out of natural material, ‘art / craft form’ products in mixed material, branding strategies for handicraft and handloom products, special category products for interior spaces, hospitality sector etc
As career path or prospects, a Designer in this domain can reach up to the level of General Manager, Chief Designer or even Senior Vice President (Design)
