B.Sc (Honors) in Game Development
Course
The structure of the B.Sc (Honors) in Game Development at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) is designed to provide the best possible opportunities in the Game Development field. It helps in equipping the students with the required competences, knowledge and skills that enable them to be ‘industry-ready’. The course has six semesters where the student will be able to acquire the knowledge of an intensive Design scheme that aims to produce dynamic professionals equipped with profound creative and technical skills in Game Development. This course focuses on students who are interested in becoming a game programmer. The program will familiarize the students with the current generation for game engines and tools and teach them the best practices for the game development process. Students will develop their own game using industry-standard software, tools and game engines such as Unreal Engine. Also, various platforms from Mobile to VR using various programming tools like C++, C#. At the end of this course, students will have completed their game projects and will be able to leverage an array of game development techniques to create their own games.
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, CISCE, NIOS, AISSCE, ISC or their equivalent. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination for academic year 2019-20 are also encouraged to apply.
