Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Computer Science and Information Technology
Computer Science and Information Technology is an emerging field which has aided in simplifying the work in organizations. Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Technology is a research-oriented program which enables students to use the research tools to solve problems and evaluate data. The students are imparted with knowledge of developing technologies using information technology.
The program comprehends to skill the students in engineering the tools related to software engineering, data formulating, evaluating as well as inventing newer technologies which benefit various section of the society. Information technology with its integration to computer science has helped to bring about many breakthrough changes in the working methodologies in addition to building refined technologies. This program is a career-oriented field wherein the students are equipped to conduct advanced level research programs.

Eligibility
- Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognized university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%). Selection will be through an Entrance Test and Interview.
- Candidates who have passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders shall be exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for Ph.D. in this category
- Candidates who have qualified for Masters Degree prior to 1990-91 with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for Ph.D. programM.Phil. degree holders will get a waiver for part of the course work of Ph.D. program
- Candidates sponsored by organizations are also eligible to apply subject to their fulfillment of the above mentioned qualifications
- Candidates who hold a Masters Degree viz., M.Tech / M.Sc (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (Structural or Associated disciplines) are eligible for the Ph.D. (Aerospace Engineering) Program.
