Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Mass Communication
The M.Phil. Degree shall have the status of an intermediate Degree between the first Post-Graduate Degree and the Doctorate Degree. It will have both research and course components and will give the student adequate background for advanced research.
Mass communication is an area of study and practice which deals with the decimation of information to the masses at the local, national and international level, through the utilization of mass communication tools like internet, television, radio, newspaper etc. It also encompasses radio, graphics, online media, and corporate communication under its ambit.
Duration : One Year, 2 Semesters
Eligibility
Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognized university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%)Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for M.Phil. in this category Candidates who have qualified for Master’s Degree prior to 1990 - 1991, with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for M.Phil. program
