Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Microbiology
The M.Phil. Degree shall have the status of an intermediate Degree between the first Post-Graduate Degree and the Doctorate Degree. It will have both research and course components and will give the student adequate background for advanced research.
M. Phil. in Microbiology is a research degree program which enable students to study a specific research project in the subjects of bacterial polysaccharides, attachment of pathogens and bio film formation.
The M. Phil degree in Microbiology can help students stand alone and have an edge over other professionals in the field as it helps them develop them the scientific skills needed to work in the industry.
Duration :One Year, 2 Semesters
Eligibility
Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognized university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%)Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for M.Phil. in this category Candidates who have qualified for Master’s Degree prior to 1990 - 1991, with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for M.Phil. program
