Course
B.Sc. Critical Care Technology is a degree course offered by JKK Nataraja Dental College & Hospital Komarapalayam . The program brings out technologically skilled health care worker who set up and connect the necessary critical care equipment to the patient to save his life. They ensure the proper functioning of the life-saving equipment, repair them if needed, record data, educate other paramedics in the appropriate use of the equipment and provide the feedback to the concerned doctor. JKK Nataraja Dental College & Hospital Komarapalayam affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University. The curriculum exposes them to cardiological equipment ( ECG, Echocardiography, TMT, IABP, ECMO), Intensive respiratory equipment ( mechanical ventilator, non-invasive ventilation, high flow oxygen therapy, PFT), Renal replacement equipment (Haemodialysis,CRRT,TPE, Hemoperfusion) and operation theatre technology. After the course completion, JKK Nataraja Dental College & Hospital Komarapalayam students are placed in critical care unit, cardiac unit, accident & emergency unit, dialysis unit, operation theatre unit and ambulance.
Duration: 3 Years + 1 Year Internship
