B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy is a developing branch of allied health science undergraduate program offered by JKK Nataraja Dental College & Hospital Komarapalayam. The course deals with the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from breathing problems to serious respiratory diseases. It is a growing field, and they should possess invasive skills like intubation, advanced airway placement, arterial-line insertion, Cardiac Catheter advancement, Intravenous Line Insertion, Tracheostomy Re-cannulation, Naso-Tracheal Suction etc. JKK Nataraja Dental College & Hospital Komarapalayam is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University . Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University the syllabus covers Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Physics, Respiratory Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diagnostic Methods for Cardiopulmonary Disease, Respiratory Technology, Applied Pharmacology and Pathology, Respiratory Care Equipment, Respiratory Therapy Techniques, Life Support System, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
