Course
D.Pharm means two year Diploma in Pharmacy.The person who has completed D.Pharm can be employed as registered pharmacist in Hospital and Community pharmacies dispensing drugs and pharmaceuticals. Pharm.D course is a Professional Pharmacy doctoral programme of 6 yrs duration after 10+2 (science academic stream) which includes 5yrs of academic study + 1 year of internship or residency.
Eligibility
D.Pharm. admission requirements include that applicants must be at least 17 years of age at time of admission, and are required to complete the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or 10+2 exam in the science stream. Required subjects are physics, chemistry and biology or mathematics.
Duration: Diploma in Pharmacy is a 2-year full-time Diploma course divided into 4 semesters.
Higher Studies
Thus A Large Number Of Students Persuaded Their Interest In The Profession Of Pharmacy Through DPharm And Registered Themselves Are Pharmacists. These Registered Pharmacists Confined Themselves Either To Community Or Hospital Pharmacy Stores.After DPharm, The Students Can Pursue Higher Studies In Pharmacy By Joining BPharm, BPharm-Lateral Or PharmD Programs.
