Course
M.D. Psychiatry is a postgraduate Psychiatry course. A psychiatrist is a physician (a medical doctor-either an MD or a DO) who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, addictive, and emotional disorders. The Course helps to train the medical, social components of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and utilize a broad range of treatment modalities; including diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, psychotherapy, and their familes cope with stress and crises. The course includes neurobiology, biopsychology, prescription of psychiatric drugs and diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
EligibilityCandidates should have passed an M.B.B.S. degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university board.
