Course
M.Sc. Bioinformatics is an advanced degree in the relatively new field of Bioinformatics, which is a speciality within the discipline of Molecular Biology. Bioinformatics involves the application of computer science, statistics, and engineering to research and interpret biological data, in undertakings such as the Human Genome Project. At its most basic, Bioinformatics applies information technology to biological molecular data on a large scale.
Eligibility
As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have completed graduation with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in any of the following:
- B.Sc./ B. Pharm/ BHMS/ BDS/ BAMS/ MBBS
- B.E. in Computer Science
- B.Tech. in Information Technology/ Biomedical Engineering
Duration
M.Sc. Bioinformatics is a 2- year full-time program divided into 4 semesters.
