Course
M.Sc. Medical Microbiology is a post graduate course, covers the molecular and medical aspects of virology, bacteriology, immunology, and mycology to infection. The main aim of this course is to provide the scientific basis of modern microbiological and traditional concepts. In this course, candidates will develop the practical skills, knowledge, and critical awareness required to pursue their career in medical microbiology.
In this course, students study major topics include principles of microbiology, research methods, understanding infection, microbial pathogenesis, global health and epidemiology, and molecular diagnostics. In addition to this course, students also study various clinical applications of microbes for the improvement of health.
Eligibility
Candidates who have completed B.Sc. in any stream of science such as Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physiology, Microbiology or an equivalent degree in a science stream from a recognized board are eligible for Master of Science [M.Sc.] (Medical Microbiology) course. Candidates should obtain 55% of marks in their bachelor degree examination for Master of Science (Medical Microbiology) course eligibility (50% of marks for SC/ST candidates). The percentage may vary from one college to another. Eligible candidates may apply for this course through online or offline.

M.Sc. Medical Microbiology is a 2 year full-time postgraduate course in Medical Microbiology.
