Course
MPT in Community Physiotherapy is a health science program offered by JSS College of Physiotherapy, Mysore. The program helps the physiotherapist to develop advanced physiotherapy skills, communication skills, proper health care delivery and primary care to patients of all age groups at their home/community. They help home-returned patients in further treatment and long term management. JSS College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) syllabus exposes the students to Concepts of Community Physiotherapy, Community based Rehabilitation, Health Care Delivery System, Disability types, assessment and prevention, PWD Act(2001), Modes of Disability, Attitudes of the community towards disabled, Health promotion of all age group, women, obese patients, cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, musculoskeletal patients, neurological patients, sportspersons, Women and Child Care, Geriatrics, Industrial Health, Project.
