Course
B.Sc. Respiratory Care Technology is a developing branch of allied health science undergraduate program offered by JSS Medical College Mysuru. The course deals with the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from breathing problems to serious respiratory diseases. It is a growing field, and they should possess invasive skills like intubation, advanced airway placement, arterial-line insertion, Cardiac Catheter advancement, Intravenous Line Insertion, Tracheostomy Re-cannulation, Naso-Tracheal Suction etc. JSS Medical College is affiliated to JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Mysuru. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research syllabus covers Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Physics, Respiratory Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diagnostic Methods for Cardiopulmonary Disease, Respiratory Technology, Applied Pharmacology and Pathology, Respiratory Care Equipment, Respiratory Therapy Techniques, Life Support System, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. The course completed JSS Medical College students work in ICUs, Neonatal and Pediatric, Operation Room, Emergency Room as Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist and at related equipment manufacturing and sales companies as a product manager, sales manager.
