The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1999 offering UG, PG and Ph.D under the affiliation of VTU, Belagavi. The course is structured with an outcome based education to help students to excel in academics and to achieve their goals. The department is accredited by NAAC and IEI.The main aim of the department is to work towards overall development of the students to make them industry ready engineers. The Department provides excellent training with strong fundamental knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has several student clubs and chapters of various professional bodies like IEEE, ISTE, IEDC, IETE and IEI. These forums help students to take-up innovative projects, present technical papers and organize various technical events thereby receiving a broader perspective on the professional front by providing opportunities for teamwork, leadership and service. The department also organizes non-technical and cultural events where in students are encouraged to showcase their talent. Our students have brought laurels to the department by representing in sports and cultural events at various universities and at national level.
ECE course deals with the investigation and study of design, installation, manufacture, and operation of electronic tools a, d equipment, telecommunication systems, systems and machinery, radio, computers, and TVs used in the computer industry, hospitals, entertainment media, defence forces and in numerous other areas.Electronics and Communication Engineering” denotes a broad engineering field that covers sub fields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems, communication systems and power electronics
EligibilityA candidate must have cleared post-graduate (PG) degree or equivalent of minimum duration of 2 years from a UGC recognized university in respective discipline with score of minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA.
