Course
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1999 offering UG, PG and Ph.D under the affiliation of VTU, Belagavi. The course is structured with an outcome based education to help students to excel in academics and to achieve their goals. The department is accredited by NAAC and IEI.The main aim of the department is to work towards overall development of the students to make them industry ready engineers. The Department provides excellent training with strong fundamental knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has several student clubs and chapters of various professional bodies like IEEE, ISTE, IEDC, IETE and IEI. These forums help students to take-up innovative projects, present technical papers and organize various technical events thereby receiving a broader perspective on the professional front by providing opportunities for teamwork, leadership and service. The department also organizes non-technical and cultural events where in students are encouraged to showcase their talent. Our students have brought laurels to the department by representing in sports and cultural events at various universities and at national level.
M.Tech. in Digital Electronics and Communication is a postgraduate program.Digital Communication is a two-year post-graduate programme encompassing the advanced study of modern electronics and communication techniques. This specialised programme focuses on instilling skills related to design, development, observation, and application of Digital Communication circuits & systems.The programme curriculum includes subjects like Digital Electronics, Modern DSP, Antenna Theory and Design, Error control and coding, Advanced Embedded System, and Advanced Computer Architecture that enable the students to gain excellent technical knowledge to solve real-world problems.
Eligibility
A candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission. (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates and reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates)
