MD Panchkarma is a postgraduate clinical ayurvedic course offered by K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Sullia. It is a treatment program based on principles of sodhana chikilasa (purification treatment). It involves five methods of ayurvedic remedies for eliminating toxic materials (vitiated dosha). K.V.G. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences curriculum covers theoretical, practical and hands-on training in Research Methodology, Medical Statistics, Basic Principles of Ayurveda (Sidhanta and Samhita), Purva Karma-Snehana and Svedana, Vamana and Virechana Karma Vamana Karma, Basti Karma and Nasya Karma Basti Karma, Raktamokshana, Physiotherapy and Disease wise Panchakarma, Chhaya Avum Vikiran Vigyan.
