Kabardino-Balkarian State University was reorganized by joining it as structural units of the Nalchik Basic Medical College of the Ministry of Health of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Kabardino-Balkarian Pedagogical College, the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Nalchik College of Design of the Ministry of General and Vocational Education of the Russian Federation, Nalchik Polytechnic College of the Ministry of General and Vocational Education of the Russian Federation, Nalchik Municipal Construction College of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Housing and Construction Policy. September 20, 2002 Kabardino-Balkarian State University. HM. Berbekov was included in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities as the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after I.I. HM. Berbekov”, which, by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated May 27, 2011 No. 1841, was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Kabardino-Balkarian State University. HM. Berbekov". By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated October 29, 2015 No. 1262, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after I.I. HM. Berbekov" was renamed into the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Kabardino-Balkarian State University. HM. Berbekov".
