Course
The Dravidians were the majority population across the Indian subcontinent before the second millennium. Dravidians had an advanced city culture more ancient than the Aryans, who, as Indian legends tell and some dispute, invaded India from central Asia in several waves around 1500 BCE. Dravidian Nationalism was thus based on three ideologies: dismantling of Brahmin hegemony; revitalization of the "Dravidian Languages" (that include Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil) and social reform by abolition of existing caste systems, religious practices and recasting women's equal position in the society.
