Course
The increased demand of current industry for efficiency and safety has led to a greater need for professionals with an added expertise in the field of ‘Robotics & Automation’. Robotics & Automation combines design, construction, operation, and application of robots coupled with computer based control systems, sensory feedback, and information processing. The design of a robotic system puts together principles of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
M.Tech in Industrial Automation & Robotics Engineering involves design, development and up-gradation in terms of automating products, systems and processes in every walk of human life
Duration : This is a two - year regular programme comprising four semesters of six months duration each.
Eligibility : 50% in B.E. Degree or equivalent.
Career Opportunities
Present day trend is towards use of automated machineries, which increase the production capacity to very high quantity. For these machineries either for manufacturing or for maintenance, more number of qualified professionals in the area of computer-integrated manufacturing is required. In addition, the present conventional industries are getting retofitted into automated industries. Even for such activities experienced professionals with computer integrated manufacturing knowledge is required. By considering above information, knowledge of CIM will benefit professionals / students to get into high profile jobs of highly automated industries.
