Course
M.Phil in Ancient Indian History and Epigraphy is a postgraduate level course. Inscriptions supply valuable historical facts. The study of inscriptions is called epigraphy. The study of the writings on ancient inscriptions and records is called palaeography. Inscriptions are seen on rocks, pillars, stones, slabs, walls of buildings, and body of temples.
Eligibility
Aspiring candidates should have a Master's degree in science, arts or engineering. Candidates need to acquire 55% marks in the subject chosen for M. Phil. course or an allied subject at the postgraduate level to be considered eligible for the course
