Course
M.Phil. Biochemistry is a post graduate course.Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes that drive biological systems. Explores the basic principles of biochemistry and develops the student’s appreciation and understanding of biological networks. Through a biotechnology course, they apply what they learned in other biochemistry courses to biotechnology, this also refers to genetic engineering.The course leading to the degree of M.Phil. is essentially research-based and does not involve assessed instructional courses. Candidates are based in a research group and undertake research on a topic agreed with the principal investigator. They also have an Advisor and a Graduate Thesis Panel, as in the Ph.D. student programme.
Eligibility
B.Sc. degree with Chemistry or Biochemistry as one of the subjects. Minimum 45% marks in Chemistry or Biochemistry as well as B.Sc. aggregate marks. 40% Marks for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates
