M.Sc. Applied Genetics
Course
M.Sc. Applied Genetics or Master of Applied Genetics is a postgraduate Genetics course. It is a practical science course that applies the molecular approaches of chemistry to the vast variety of biological systems. Genetics deals with the study of genes which reveals information preserved in DNA and which has been accumulated through evolition. The course broadly sketches out the structure-function relationship in micro molecules, gene therapy, career, transgenic organization, disease resistance in plants, fermentation etc.
Eligibility
B.Sc. degree with Genetics and Chemistry as two of the three optional subjects are eligible and with 45% Marks; 40% Marks for SC/ST/Cat-I students
