‘Advaita Vedanta’ programme is designed for students desirous of studying Advaita Vedanta in the traditional way. This school of Indian philosophy is based on three texts – the Upaniṣads, the Brahmasutras and the Bhagavad-gita. These are also called ‘Prasthanatrayi’.The commentaries of Sri Adi Sankaracharya on ‘Prasthanatrayi’ are a composite treatise for the study of Advaita, and therefore the curriculum covers all commentaries of Sri Adi Sankaracharya. To understand the concepts of Advaita-vedanta one should also be familiar with the concepts of other philosophies such as Nyaya and Samkhya.This course has been designed to include the best and important aspects of the most prominent traditions of Indian philosophy.
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : A candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 3 years duration (B.A. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university.
