Course
Biostatistics as a discipline is fundamentally related to biomedical and agricultural research- based problems. This 3- year course offers to eligible candidates, training in statistical techniques and methodology for designing of experiments, analyses of data, among other areas of statistics within the specialty of Life Sciences, such as statistical theory and software programs
Biostatistics essentially combines elements of Math, Statistics and Science, aimed at resolving pressing public health problems, and devising ways to prevent them from occurring in the future. Statistical principles are applied to public health and medical research.
Eligibility
Pre-University Course/12th Standard of any Board with Statistics/ Mathematics with minimum 50 percent marks for General category, and 45 percent for SC, ST and OBC will qualify for admission to B.Sc. (Biostatistics & Population Sciences, Honours).
