Course
Masters of Sciences Anatomy or MSc Anatomy is a postgraduate degree course. MSc in Anatomy is mainly the scientific study of the morphology of the human body. It is further divided into gross anatomy and microscopic anatomy. Gross anatomy or topographical anatomy is the study of anatomical structures that can be seen without using microscope. Microscopic anatomy is the study of tiny anatomical structures with the aid of microscopes that involves histology (the study of the organization of tissues), and cytology (the study of cells). Anatomy, human physiology (the study of function), and biochemistry (the study of the chemistry of living structures) are corresponding basic medical sciences that are usually in tandem to students studying medical sciences.
Eligibility
A student must have passed BSc with minimum one subject of Biological Sciences/BAMS/MBBS/BHMS/ BPT/ B. Pharm or any other equivalent graduation from a recognized University. BSc graduates with Physics and Chemistry optional could be considered for admission to this course if seats are left.
Duration
The duration of M.Sc. Anatomy is 2 years that is divided into 4 semesters.
