Course:
Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a Diploma Progarmme. Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) course offered by Krishna College of Thiruchirapalli. Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a two-year diploma course, including six months internship. ANM is the only alternative for students who wish to join a nursing course after completing 12th in a non-science stream. The syllabus covers community health nursing, mental health, child health nursing, midwifery, health centre management and human body & hygiene.The ANM course focuses on professionally training the students on basics of health care like operating medical equipment, setting up of operation theatre, timely medication to patients, maintaining health records etc. Completed students should be able to provide first aid and primary medical care to the needy. The candidates can pursue their jobs in community health centres, dispensaries, nursing homes, private and government hospitals.
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
- The minimum educational requirements shall be 10+2 in Arts , Mathematics , Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany, Biochemistry, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Sociology, Business Science - Vocational, Business studies Accountancy, Home Science, Psychology and Philosophy and Zoology and English Core/English Elective or Science –Vocational stream only. Passed from a recognized Board.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
