Course
MA Mass Communication and Journalism course is aimed at equipping the students with specialized knowledge in the said subject. Media being the fourth pillar of a democratic state has made the area and profession of journalism as an important public service. This over the years has resulted in exponential growth of news channels and agency thus fueling the demand for qualified professionals.As the domain of journalism is all about application and presentation the course is designed in a manner so as to provide students with a holistic overview and insight into the subject so that they are able to apply their knowledge base when they enter the job market. The two-year duration of the course provides this knowledge in a gradual manner through a semester-based system to the students.Journalism and mass communication being an important area of study requires that PG and UG level students who are studying it shall be introduced to the subject in a comprehensive manner so that they are ready to take up various responsibilities in this domain in the coming future.

Eligibility
Candidate must have passed the UG or equivalent examination in any stream with at least 50% (40% to 45% for reserved category candidates) of the marks from a recognized state/private/deemed or central University.
