Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Chemistry
Course
M.Phil (Chemistry) course helps to study fundamental chemical and physical properties and principles of their applications and transformations of the materials. Some of the major topics students can study are acid chemistry, base chemistry, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, ionic equilibrium, kinetics, elementary chemical thermodynamics, and basic quantitative chemical laboratory techniques. The main aim of this course is to provide candidates with a sampling of fundamentals and applied chemistry research problems from a chemical point of view. In this course, students learn chemical principles which can be obtained from the chemical theory and experiments and also understand in an additional activity. This course emphasizes the mechanisms, organic chemistry of biological compounds, and synthetic applications of organic reactions.
