Course
The M.Phil. in Political Science focuses on the research-based study of government and political institutions and grants a variety of educational experiences in an array of learning environments to build up ones written and oral communication skills as well as other practical skills. It covers up a wide range of topics like Public Administration, International Politics, Political Sociology, Research Methods, Contemporary Political Theory, and Indian Political System.M.Phil. program in political science is intended to help students in expanding their knowledge regarding the nature of politics, political problems, political systems, international relations. etc. The goal is to prepare the students for a wide range of possible careers including Civil services and teaching. M.Phil. in Political Science is offered by many private and government institutes. A student has to clear 2 elective papers along with a theory test on Research Methodology as course work. After the end of course work, a student has to write a dissertation on the chosen topic.Candidates, aspiring to enter the real world of politics and to make a career in political science, should have huge leadership qualities with a sense of accountability. Decision-making and stress management capabilities, along with communication and interpersonal proficiency, will be an additional benefit for them. It is also appropriate if one plans to later go for doctoral research.
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : The only eligibility for pursuing this course is that the student should have obtained a masters degree in political science from a recognized college.
