Course
M.Sc. Bioinformatics is a 2- year full-time program divided into 4 semesters. Bioinformatics most often works as researchers within the discipline of Molecular Biology, applying Information Technology to manage and organize large databases of biological data on the molecular level.M.Sc. Bioinformatics course aims to build in candidates a strong foundation in biotechnology, computational mathematics, computer programming, database management, and statistics, and prepare them for productive careers in fields of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, bioinformatics, and vaccine industries.Research forms part of the curriculum for providing candidates exposure to real-world problems and skills to devise solutions not otherwise attainable in an academic setting.Students enrolled in M.Sc. Bioinformatics course are imparted skills needed in the interpretation of biological data at the molecular level, and in database organization. The applications of advanced math and information technology to this data allow researchers to understand data relationships in a way that was previously not possible.

Eligibility : As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have completed graduation with a minimum aggregate score of 50%
