M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering is a Postgraduate program. Computer science and engineering are now cornerstones of the information society. This course is designed to enable learners for industry, academia, and public service, providing technical leadership by solving significant problems across a broad spectrum. The course is cross-disciplinary, allowing students to learn the language specificities of computer science, explore programming or modelling and design, and all of the other core aspects of the subject, whilst being also trained in industrial ethics and engaging in industry-inspired lab sessions.Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is an academic program at some universities that integrates the fields of computer engineering and computer science, providing knowledge of computing systems in both hardware and software design.
The M.Tech program in CSE is designed to balance core courses, electives and a dissertation. The students get an opportunity to consolidate their knowledge of the fundamentals, and also specialize in advanced topics of Networking, Databases, Operating systems, Computer Architecture, Performance Analysis, Formal models, AI, Computer Graphics. The salient part of this program is a research oriented dissertation which grooms students’ intellectual maturity. And the wider exposure of the course work prepares the students for careers in both industry and academics.
Eligibility
- Admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech.) course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E., / B.Tech. Examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University / Institution or any other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto.
- Admission to M.Tech. Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%.
