Course
Diploma in Medical Record Technology is a medical lab technologist diploma course which is offered by the Mangala College of Para Medical Science Mangaluru. The program plays a prominent role in not only maintaining the patient records but promotes the research of quality in the financial and legal interests of the patient and the hospital with an excellent statistical report system. Mangala College of Para Medical Science is affiliated with the Para Medical Board (PMB). The Para Medical Board (PMB) contains the syllabus with the subjects such as basic human sciences, communicative English, computer application, medical record science, medical terminology, coding of diseases and procedures, general hospital statistics, administration, and management, revision and internal examination, project work, practical and demonstration will be done based on theory, etc. Students after passing this course can work in different job roles like billing and coding technician, health information technician, medical coder, medical office manager, medical receptionist, and so on.
