Course
Ph.D. in Material Science is a research-based course.Ph.D. in Material Science gives in depth details regarding research and discovery of new materials, understanding of materials processing, the structure of the material, etc. The course gives the students understanding of all the possible aspects of Material Science which includes composites, properties, failure, diffusion of metals, polymer, ceramics etc.
Doctorate course in Material Science field includes the study of nanoscience, biological materials, high-thermal materials, the interaction of laser-materials and electrochemical methods with several applications from medicine to renewable energy. Ph.D. in Material Science course also helps to promote skilled professionals who can operate in the design, fabrication, and testing of engineering materials by using cutting-edge technologies in an engineering environment.
Eligibility
Second class Master's degree (minimum of 55%) in the subject/allied subject.
Duration
Three/Four Years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively.
