Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology is a postgraduate program.Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology course is offered by Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal.Pharmacology is a branch of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences which is concerned with the study of drug or medication action,where a drug can be broadly or narrowly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (from within the body) molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism (sometimes the word pharmacon is used as a term to encompass these endogenous and exogenous bioactive species). More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function. If substances have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals.
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility
- Pass in BPharm from auniversity recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent
- Candidate should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission
- Mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the university where the candidate had passed the BPharm qualifying degree
