Master of Science in Dietetics and Applied Nutrition is a postgraduate program.A dietitian (or dietician) is an expert in dietetics; that is, human nutrition and the regulation of diet. A dietitian alters their patient's nutrition based upon their medical condition and individual needs. Dietitians are regulated healthcare professionals licensed to assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional problems.Applied Nutrition is the branch of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that regulates food, dietary supplements, and cosmetics. Nutrition is the science that expounds the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food.
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
Eligibility
Pass with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science / Nutrition / Dietetics / Food Science / Biology / Microbiology / Clinical Biochemistry / Life Sciences / BNYS (Naturopathy) / BAMS (Ayurveda) / PG Diplomain Dietetics from a recognized University, with minimum50 % aggregate marks or equivalent
