These include: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, paranoia, and self-harm. Nurses in this area receive specific training in psychological therapies, building a therapeutic alliance, dealing with challenging behaviour, and the administration of psychiatric medication.

Eligibility
- Pass in BSc Nursing / PB BSc Nursing from a university recognized by Indian Nursing Council, with minimum 55 % aggregate marks or equivalent
- Candidates must have 1 year of experience as on July 31, 2020 after BSc Nursing in a hospital of at least 100 beds / in a community health program or in a school or college of nursing.
- PB BSc Degree holders need to have one year experience either before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing degree
